Connect battery:

• Remove the top cover of the box with a phillips head driver
• Connect the male and female 5.5mm connectors
• The gateway should power on, do not press any buttons
• You will know the power is on when a green light on the front of the gateway is illuminated
• If gateway does not immediately power on, complete the setup and leave in direct sunlight for 4 hours

Connect solar panel:

• Align the screws on the solar panel to the mounting holes on the sheet metal bracket, and secure with wing nuts
• Connect the solar panel cable to the box by aligning the keyed connector and finger tightening the threaded parts on the connector

Mount solar kit assembly (If using magnet kit):

• Use the holes on the sheet metal bracket to mount the assembly to a pole, fence, wall or steel tank with the magnet option
• For best performance:
  • Install with panel facing true south
  • Mount at head level or higher
  • Ensure line of sight with sensor if possible
  • Avoid masonry or thick metal walls
