Export Feature

How to Export Sensor, Product or Location Information (PC and Mobile)

On Desktop (PC):

  • Log in to your Pulsa Dashboard.
  • Navigate to any of the Sensors, Products, or Locations page.
  • Click the “Select box” button located at the top right of the screen.
  • Select the items you'd like to export. You can choose:
    • All items on the page, or
    • Specific items by individually selecting/deselecting them.
  • Once the selection is made, the Export button will appear at the bottom of the screen — click it.
  • Choose the fields you’d like to include, or select “All fields” to export full details.
  • Click “Export”. A confirmation message will appear.
  • You’ll receive an email with a link to download your export file (CSV format).

On Mobile:

  • Open the Pulsa Mobile App and sign in.
  • Navigate to any of the Sensors, Products, or Locations page.
  • Click the “Select box” button located at the top right of the screen.
  • Select the itemss you'd like to export. You can choose:
    • All items on the page, or
  • Specific items by individually selecting/deselecting them.
  • Tap the “Export” icon.
  • Choose which fields you want to export.
  • Tap “Export” to confirm.
  • You’ll receive an email with a download link for your export file.

Export Field Definitions

Sensor Fields

  • Sensor Name – The user assigned name name assigned to the sensor, typically used for identification (e.g., “Tank 1 – CO₂”).
  • Sensor Serial – The unique serial number of the sensor used for tracking and support.
  • SKU: reference code for sensor/hardware type.
  • Setup Time – The date and time the sensor was first activated or configured.

Location Fields

  • Gateways – Lists any gateways currently connected to the sensor at the location.
  • Location ID – A unique system-generated ID for the location the sensor is assigned to.
  • Location Name – The user-assigned name of the location (e.g., “Sioux City Facility”).
  • Location Address – The physical address associated with the location.
  • Location GPS – The GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude) for the location.

Product Fields

  • Product Name – The user assigned name of the product being monitored (e.g., “Liquid Nitrogen”).
  • Product ID – A unique identifier for the product in the system.
  • Product Is Horizontal – Boolean property. Indicates whetherwether the product is set as horizontally oriented (TRUE) vs. vertical (FALSE).
  • Product Conversions – Any conversions to another metric set and being used for the product.
  • Product Empty Size – The value when the container is considered empty.
  • Product Full Size – The value when the container is considered full.
  • Container Size – The size of the empty container. Used for weight sensors.

Billing Detail Fields

  • Billing Status – Indicates whether the sensor is active in Good, suspended, or in another billing state.
  • Billing Term – Indicates whether the billing is monthly, annual, or another term type.
  • Most Recent Paid Sub End Time – The expiration date of the most recent paid subscription period.

Configuration Fields

  • Default Smoothing: denotes the currently selected smoothing setting used for sensor measure trends and forecasting
  • Disabled Tasks – Any scheduled sensor tasks or automations that are currently disabled.
  • Enabled Integrations – External systems or tools (Messer, TIMS, Ortec) connected to the sensor.
  • Frontier configuration: Details the  power configurations and modes of the Pulsa Frontier's Main and Secondary port (e.g. Main[read amps (15V out)] Sec[off] (Low Power)
  • Missing After: The selected setting for which a sensor will display as missing. Tasks related to Missing Sensors will trigger from this point if applicable.
  • Refill Threshold % – The % value at which the system flags an increase in level as a fill.
  • Profile details: denotes the profile configurations given to a Pulsa Link or Pulsa Link Frontier from it's connected sensor (e.g. in the case of a Frontier Link with a Pulsa differential pressure, the Profile details would read: From: 0.50 to 4.50 V - To: 0.00 to 418.00 inches)

Measurement & Values

  • Most Recent Measure % – The latest reading expressed as a percentage of full.
  • Most Recent Measure Time – Timestamp of the most recent measurement received.
  • Most Recent Measure Value – The raw or calculated value of the most recent measurement (e.g., psi, gallons)
  • Adjustment Factor – A custom value added to a sensor to adjust its reading.
  • Tare Correction: Adjustments made to a Pulsa Puck or Light Scale, typically during initial setup

Alerts, Tags, Notes and Images

  • Alerts - Any alert(s) on a sensor added by a user.
  • Tags – Labels used for filtering or categorizing sensors (e.g., “High Priority,” “Test Site”).
  • Num Notes: Count of Notes on select sensor
  • Num Images: Count of Images on select sensor

What should I do if I am not receiving the email file for my export request?

The file containing the export file will come from " no-reply@pulsasensors.com ."

If you haven't received the export file via email, try the following steps:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder – Sometimes, emails may be mistakenly flagged by your email provider.
  2. Add Pulsa as a safe sender – Ensure that no-reply@pulsasensors.com is added to your safe sender or allowlist.
  3. Contact your IT department – Ask them to verify that emails from no-reply@pulsasensors.com are not being blocked or filtered by your organization's firewall or email security settings.

Taking these steps will help ensure that future export files are delivered to your inbox successfully.
