Power Action: Add or Remove Alerts

Need to update alerts for multiple sensors at once? The Add or Remove Alerts power action lets you create, edit, or remove alert configurations across many sensors in just a few clicks. Whether you’re adding new consumption or temperature alerts, or clearing outdated ones, this tool saves time by handling everything in one go. Follow the steps below to set up or remove alerts in bulk.

1

Select the Sensors You Would like to Update

  • Navigate to the Sensors page and use the checkboxes to select one or more sensors you want to update.
  • Once sensors are selected, the command palette appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click on the Manage button.
2

Add or Remove Alerts

To Add Alerts:

  • In the configuration panel, select Add Alerts.
  • Under Alert Criterion, pick the type of alert (e.g., Consumption - Level, Temperature - Level, Headspace - Pressure Level).
  • Set your Threshold (Above/Below), Value, and Unit.
  • Use the Subscribers field to add at least one user who should receive notifications.
  • (Optional) Click Advanced Settings to enable features like:
     • Smoothing: Choose a data smoothing period (Hourly, Daily, etc.)
     • Repeat: Control how often an alert should repeat
     • Schedule: Limit alert activity to specific days and time ranges
  • Click Next to verify compatible sensors.
  • Review the verification summary, then click Confirm to execute.
  • Wait for the completion indicator to appear — your alerts are now active!

To Remove Alerts:

  • In the configuration panel, select Remove Alerts.
  • Choose between:
     • Remove All – deletes all alerts from selected sensors
     • Remove Specific – removes only alerts that match your chosen criteria (e.g., same threshold and value)
  • Click Next to review which sensors and alerts will be affected.
  • Click Confirm to remove alerts.
  • Once complete, the summary will show how many alerts were removed successfully.

That’s it! You’ve just managed alerts across multiple sensors in one action.
